On the 13th April 2017, I accompanied a fellow photographer named Scott to a wonderful wedding hosted at Leez Priory.
On this day I was only the second photographer, so the Bride (Sarah) and the groom (Tom) hired Scott, which in turn he hired me to accompany him. Being the second wedding photographer is only something I've done once, or perhaps twice at most. In most cases, I capture weddings alone.
As we met Sarah and all of her wonderful bridesmaids, we captured everything as usual and I was focusing on capturing lots of candid, natural images. We skip forward to the ceremony where I was situated mainly at the back, this is great as you can witness a whole different perspective than usual. The ceremony went great and there were several hymns during the service. Once Sarah & Tom signed their wedding documents, we made our way outside and Scott had taken charge of capturing all the family and traditional group shots, whilst I was still getting natural, unposed images.
Once the bride and groom arrived back at Leez Priory, CM3 1JP, they had lots of free time for us to again take more photos, and for the videographers on the day to video what they needed, and not forgetting spending lots of wonderful time with Family & Friends!
Being a second photographer for a wedding is very good, and it allows you to broaden your mind to be more creative, but Why? I feel because you do have some pressure to get content, but you're not under as much pressure at the lead photographer, allowing your mind to get creative.
Congratulations Sarah & Tom, You're both a wonderful young couple and I wish you both many, many years of happiness!
