Amie & Jodie's Wedding at The Rochford Hotel, Southend On Sea, Essex.
Friday 17th June 2016.
This wedding came with it's challenges for me. I've been fortunate enough to have always had clear and/or overcast skies on my wedding days, but for Amie & Jodie's wedding, the Heavens opened!
I started off the day with Jodie, capturing some beautiful Candid's of her and her bridesmaids in the Bridal Suite of The Rochford Hotel. I was lucky enough to have Amie in the hotel at the same time, so mingling between the both of them was an easy job.
Just before the ceremony, the rain is coming down hard and fast, and the wedding coordinator asks Jodie if she would continue to walk the traditional route, (Which included walking through the rain), of if she would like to walk in an alternative way.
After Jodie chose the alternative way, The Rochford Hotel staff quite literally flipped thee entire room around, and quite honestly, I think made the room look so much better!
My usual set up of the Traditional photographs starts with The big group shots, then filling my way down to the family shots etc, but because of the rain I was very limited for both location and time. So I worked backwards and It surprisingly worked really well for me, and will perhaps think about this method with later weddings I do.
After the Big group shots I managed to mingle the Confetti just afterwards, thinking as everyone is here, it was a great time to do so. So we got it all ready, then THREE, TWO, ONE, GO! And it turn't out amazing!
Following the rest of the day was great, having my times for the speeches, Cutting the cake & The first Dance, the evening rolled out in a easy and great manor. I must say, having worked with "The Rochford Hotel, Essex" on several occasions, I'm always impressed by their hard work and service on the day.
Thank you Amie & Jodie, for allowing me to capture your special day.
